Southampton Container Terminal August Bank Holiday - Export Receivable Window

Southampton Container Terminal has today issued an urgent announcement regarding the impending August bank holiday.

With effect from Monday 20th August 2007, the current 7 day export receivable window for laden export containers will be reduced to a 5 day window for all customers. Accordingly, from midnight on Sunday 19th August 2007, the terminal will not accept any laden export containers which are not due to be shipped on a vessel due alongside the ship within 5 days (including weekends).

Unless otherwise stated, arrangements will revert to the normal 7 day export receivable window with effect from 10th September 2007. The stack profile will be reviewed on a daily basis and, if the situation permits, the restriction may be lifted before that date.

Thank you for your understanding during this time. Should you have any questions pertaining to this notice, please do not hesitate to contact your OOCL Area Sales Manager or your local Customer Service Centre.
