Hong Kong: In preparation for the vessel maintenance schedule in the winter and consideration of the forecasted lack of improvements in the market environment in the Asia-Europe trade, the members of the G6 Alliance have decided to temporarily suspend their Loop 3 service between the Far East and Europe until further notice.
The last sailing for Loop 3 will be OOCL Hamburg departing from Shanghai on October 6. All ports will be covered by other services.

Ocean freight rates for the Asia to Europe Trade have been below the required level to cover basic operating costs for a prolonged period. Considering the need to provide sustainable services for the long term, we are announcing a revenue restoration program.
With effect from August 1, 2012, freight rates for Westbound traffic from Asia to Europe will be increased by US$ 300 per TEU. This change covers shipments from the Far East (including Japan), Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East

Customers are advised that we are amending our Booking Cancellation Fee with effect August 1, 2012.
Currently this surcharge is applied to bookings which are cancelled at customers' request less than 72 hours prior to vessel arrival at the port of load. The threshold is being amended to 48 hours, meaning any booking cancelled after this point will be liable to the fee.
The rate applied will be £250 per booking for those made in the UK, or EUR 250 per booking for those placed in Ireland.

Change of Destination (Cargo Diversion)
Out tariff was updated on 15 July 2012. The relevant tariff rule caters for cases where the Port of Discharge is amended, and/or the shipment's Final Destination is changed. An administration fees applies, the quantum of which depends on the exact circumstances of the shipment, and whether or not any container re-stows are required. For full details please refer to Rule 11 in our Global Tariff Rules.
