Turkey Customs 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation
Turkey Customs 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation: Dear Valued Customers: OOCL would like to inform our customers that Turkey Customs has announced a new 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation, to take effect on January 1, 2012. The rule requires all ocean carriers to submit a list of customs-defined manifest data to Turkey Customs at least 24 hours prior to cargo loading at Port Of Load. The regulation is applicable to all import and transshipped cargo to/ via Turkey. (click above link to view in full)

Peak Season Surcharge - Asia Europe Trade
Dear Valued Customers, This is to advise that OOCL will implement a Peak Season Surcharge of USD 200 per TEU, applicable to all shipments from Asia to Europe effective from December 26, 2011.

EU Regulation 1875/2006 – Advance Manifest – End of Grace Period
The European Union (EU) Commission and Member States agreed that the grace period for compliance to EU Regulation 1875/2006 will be effective until June 30, 2011, and there has not been any indication regarding the possibility of an extension to this date.
