2. 한국/동남아간 컨테이너 정기선 서비스를 제공중인 OOCL은 지속적인 서비스 향상에 힘을 쓰고 있으나, 현재 국제적 유류가격이 급변하고 상승하고 있어 운항비용을 충당하기에 부족하여 해상운송의 서비스 개선을 기대하기 힘든 상황입니다. 이에 불가피하게 긴급유류할증료를 다음과 같이 적용할것을 알려 드리오니 업무에 참조하시기 바랍니다.

대상목적지 – 대만, 홍콩, 필리핀, 베트남, 캄보디아, 미얀마, 태국, 말레이시아, 싱가포르, 인도네시아 및 남중국
· 내 용 : 기존운임에 US$ 30/TEU, US$ 60/FEU 적용
· 시행 일시 : 2011년 3월 14일 (선적지 선적일 기준)

Dear Customers,
With the unprecedented upsurge the price of Oil , the shipping lines’ operation cost have significantly deteriorated and stayed. Accordingly, it cannot be recovered under the current market. OOCL as a member line of the Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement (IADA) covering trades between Korea and all Intra-Asia, therefore, inevitably wish to inform the shipping public of the following EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) will be effective from 14th March, 2011.
We are fully appreciative of your deep understandings and confident that our customers will support this plan which is absolutely necessary for lines to continue meeting the high standard of service required of them.
EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) :
o Destinations : Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar,
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Guangdong, Guangxi,
Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan of China
o Quantum of EBS : US$30/TEU & US$60/FEU on top of current rates for Dry Container
o Effective Date : 14th March, 2011 based on the on-board date ex Korea
