Emergency Risk Surcharge
- US$ 41/20FT, US$ 82/40FT wef 14th March, 2011 -
Dear Customers,
With the unprecedented upsurge the price of Oil and with the increase of risk to carry the containers in this route, the shipping lines’ operation cost have been evaluated. Accordingly, it cannot be recovered under the current rate level. OOCL, therefore, inevitably wish to inform the shipping public of the following ERS (Emergency Risk Surcharge) will be imposed same as this routing of West Bound.
We are fully appreciative of your deep understandings and confident that our customers will support this plan which is absolutely necessary for lines to continue meeting the high standard of service required of them.
ERS (Emergency Risk Surcharge) :
o Covering Scope : Mid East & Red Sea to Korea Inbound
o Origin : Dubai, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bandar Abbas, Doha,
Khor Fakkan, Sarjah, Kuwait, Riyadh, Dammam, Muscat,
Aden and Jeddah
o Quantum of ERS : US$41/20FT, US$81/40FT on top of current rates
o Effective Date : 14th March, 2011 based on the on-board date at origin port
o Payer : all of Import party in Korea
