Dear Customers,
With the unprecedented upsurge the price of Oil , the shipping lines’ operation cost have been sharply increased. Accordingly, it cannot be recovered under the current rate of EBS. OOCL, therefore, inevitably wish to inform the shipping public of the following EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) will be adjusted as follws.
We are fully appreciative of your deep understandings and confident that our customers will support this plan which is absolutely necessary for lines to continue meeting the high standard of service required of them.
EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) :
o Covering Scope : Asia including South China to Korea Inbound
o Origin : Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong including South China.
o Quantum of EBS : US$150/20FT, US$300/40FT on top of current rates
o Effective Date : 24th June, 2012 based on the discharing date at Korean port
o Payer : all of Import party in Korea
