Import Process

 Cargo Tracking

 To check shipment arrival date and vessel detail.  Kindly refer to cargo tracking (http://www.oocl.com/) or mobile phone service (http://m.oocl.com/)

  

Arrival Notice

 Arrival Notices will be email to consignee / notify party shown in BL

-  1 days before vessel ETA  for short transit time shipment and vessel that transship from Singapore
-  3 days before vessel ETA  for long transit time shipment.

Customs Manifest

 Submission of customs manifest will be done
-  1 days before vessel ETA  for short transit time shipment and vessel that transship from Singapore
-  2 days before vessel ETA  for long transit time shipment. 

Details of customs manifest status can be obtained via http://www.myports.net/

 

Telex Release / Surrender BL checking

Telex Release or Surrender BL checking can be done via “Cargo Tracking” at http://www.oocl.com/.  Please enter the BL number, and click “go”.  It will show the summary of BL details.  Look for “Original B/L Received by Carrier”, if it show:-
    “Cleared”                                    – it is Telex Release or "Surrendered" BL
    “Held”                                         – it is Original B/L 
    "N.A. (Under Sea WayBill)"      – it is Sea Waybill or "Express" BL

 

Delivery Order

 Delivery Order will be released upon the submission of:
-  duly endorsed Original Bill of Lading; or a proof of identity if a Sea Waybill

-  Original LOI from consignee shown in BL, please refer to http://www.oocl.com/NR/rdonlyres/BA097478-0E61-4BDA-A80A-8CCA0535D814/0/ImportLetterofIndemnityforCargoRelease.pdf
Full payment of import charges shown in Arrival Notice. 

-  Full payment of container deposit, if any.  Otherwise, customer may choose to pay all previous outstanding charges, such as previous Detention, Demurrage, Container damage cost

-  Submission of “cargo release letter”, to inform OOCL which leager account to be release and update in terminal’s EDO. 

-  Relevant IB documentation, if any. 

Important:-  Please ensure that you have checked the demurrage free time, (from your hardcopy delivery order or from terminal system) before taking delivery of your container(s).  If demurrage free time is over, then container may not be released, because it has incurred outstanding demurrage charge.   As such, you are required to make full payment of the demurrage incurred immediately.  As per BL term and condition, clause 13.3  and clause 15.1, that destination charges shall be deemed fully earned on receipt of the Goods, and  if the Merchant fails to take delivery of the Goods or part of them upon expiration of the tariff’s prescribed free time, the Good shall be deemed to have been delivered to the Merchant and the Carrier may with or without notice, but subject to its lean.  

  Please consult our import team ([email protected]), if you wish to take delivery during weekend or public holiday, which you anticipate demurrage free time may over.
