Bangladesh Import Documents Requirement - to indicate Business Identification Number in Letter of Credit, Bill of Lading and other Shipping documents.

We are writing to inform you that Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh) as per Bangladesh Customs Circular: NBR/IT/AWIP/ADMINP(1)/12/499 dated 26/02/2013 issued notice FEPD (Import Regulation)/123/2013-06 Dated 13/03/2013 that Importer’s BIN (Business Identification No.) is mandatory to mention in all inbound documents like Bill of Lading, Letter of Credit, Invoice, Packing list and all other import documents besides Importers name and address.

Please ensure to mention Importer's BIN while you send booking request and Shipping instruction for export shipment to Bangladesh from now onwards to comply with Bangladesh Bank and Bangladesh Customs Circular.
