Scrap/Waste Cargo Regulations for China
China Customs are changing cargo regulations for Scrap. Effective 1st June 2010 mixed loads of below 3 types of scrap are prohibited for importing to China (including both North and South China).
1. Waste Paper
2. Metal Scrap
3. Plastic Scrap
Thus, the booking acceptance for Waste/Scrap shipment will only be Straight Load (under one harmonized code) of the above mentioned commodities. Mixed Waste Paper, Mixed Metal Scrap and Mixed Plastic Scrap are prohibited.
To Order bills of lading will not be accepted by China Customs.
