Port Congestion Surcharge – Reefer to Philippines

Dear Customer,

OOCL wishes to advise customers that due to COVID-19 pandemic issue, with effect on 13th April 2020 based on shipment onboard date, there will be a Port Congestion Charge (PCS) of USD1000 per container on all reefer cargo from Australia & New Zealand to the Philippines.

Philippine ports are requesting carriers to hold reefer cargo or delay and as such OOCL cannot guarantee cargo routing nor commit to advised transit time; expectation is that there will be disruption on cargo delivery times.

There is also a strong possibility that reefer cargo could be diverted to other ports as the Philippine ports are unable to accept the current reefer volumes, and as such OOCL will advise affected customers of the additional costs in the event such a situation arises.

OOCL will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become known.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of OOCL. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our local customer representatives.

Yours faithfully,

OOCL (New Zealand) Ltd.
