Emergency
Surcharge (EMS) – Australia & New Zealand to/from EUROPE
Effective 15th January
2024 - Northbound and Southbound
Due to events in the Red Sea which affect our
methods and routes of transportation, vessels to/from Europe will be redirected
via Cape of Good Hope for the safety of crew, vessels, and partners.
With effect from 15th January 2024 shipped on
board date, OOCL will introduce an Emergency Surcharge (EMS) of USD550/TEU on
all dry and reefer cargo until further notice. This will apply to both
Northbound and Southbound shipments.
OOCL will continue to monitor the situation
closely, with safety and security as our top priority. We will continue to
assess the feasibility of various options and will take appropriate measures
according to different conditions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued
support to OOCL.
Yours
faithfully,
OOCL (New Zealand) Ltd.
