China ’s 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation – Data Elements

Further to our previous announcement on China’s 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation, we would like to provide you with more details on the required data elements for shipments to China.

I. "Main" and "Other" data elements. Main Data elements have to be submitted by the carrier to customs 24 hours before cargo loading. Other Data Elements must be submitted before the vessel arrives at its destination.

II. "Mandatory" and "Conditional" data elements.  "Mandatory" main and other data elements have to be submitted to China customs for all shipments, while "Conditional" main and other data elements are required only when the shipments fall under defined criteria, (e.g., the Transshipment place has to be declared only if transshipment occurs).
