ANNOUNCEMENT

TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

Due to surge in container volume, both terminals, North and South Harbour, are experiencing serious port congestion for the past several weeks. Both terminal’s infrastracture have reached its full potential and capacity causing delay in vessel’s berthing and difficulty in withdrawal and delivery for both importers and exporters.

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd would like to inform that effective January 16, 2011 (based on cargo received date at origin), Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) shall be implemented to all dry/reefer inbound cargo from USA to Manila. The quantum will be USD60.00 per 20 and USD120.00 per 40 for both dry and reefer.

As a destination surcharge, the Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) shall be settled by the local consignee, regardless if the trade term of the shipment is Prepaid or Collect.
