RE: M/V LARENTIA v046 S OPERATIONS UPDATE
Dear Valued Customers,
As a monsoon aftermath, there is power outage at the Manila international Container Terminal (MICT). Generators are being used in order to continue the vessel discharging operations, however works slowly. M/V Larentia 046 S commenced discharging with 1 quay crane 2330H last night and stopped at 0700H as 1 out of 4 generators needs to rest.
Latest advisory from the MICT management as follows:
"Meralco was preparing to energize at midnight. Unfortunately however, due to heavy rains between around 00:00 and 04:15, this was postponed for safety reasons . The latest estimate is that another attempt will be made at 06:00 or after testing of some additional areas are done to confirm yesterday's results. Please note they will not energize unless the test results are approved by their head office. We have planned to work 5-6 cranes from 07:00 onwards. if all our cranes are not planned on being operational from at least 19:00, we will issue a proposed berthing scheme for those waiting on or before 16:00".
Vessel M/V Larentia v046 S arrived Manila waters last August 04, 2012 and was able to berth at the Manila North Harbor last August 08, 2012 1000H.
