Ban on rice import into Russia
With immediate effect, Russian Phyto-sanitary authorities banned import of rice from all origins.
Import permissions will not be given, valid permissions will be revoked.
Authorities refer to inadequacy of imported rice to sanitary standards.
Timing for re-viewing this action is not outlined.
Any container loaded with rice will not be allowed for discharging in Russian ports or border crossing.
