| New SBX1 vessel OOCL Moscow on her first positioning voyage to St.Petersburg arrived on 02/08/2007 , carrying over 9000 tons of various cargoes directly from China .
OOCL Moscow is being phased into OOCL’s dedicated Intra European SBX1 service. She is the first container vessel to load containers in Asia for direct discharge in St Petersburg without any relay in North Europe; this is due to her having made a positioning voyage from Asia to Europe. She is the first container vessel named after the Russian capital city. The vessel name was chosen in recognition of the importance of the Russian market to OOCL and, in particular, to recognize the ever-growing significance of the Moscow market. OOCL Moscow (840 teus loadable) joins OOCL St Petersburg and OOCL Neva (both 600 teus loadable) in the weekly SBX1 service on the following rotation: St Petersburg - Antwerp - Rotterdam - Hamburg - St Petersburg - Gdansk - Hamburg - Gdansk - St Petersburg. This service carries containers both on intra Europe routes between these ports, and for relay via north continental ports to/from Asia and North America. SBX1 service complements the SBX2 service, also using 3 x 600 ice class vessels on the following rotation Amsterdam - Rotterdam - Helsinki - Kotka - St Petersburg - Amsterdam - Rotterdam - Klaipeda - Soedertalalji - Rauma - Gaevle - Amsterdam.
