The Woman in Black

From London’s West End comes The Woman in Black, one of the most exciting, gripping and successful theatre events ever staged. Seen by over three million people since it opened, this is a play not to be missed!
Welcome to an evening of unremitting drama as two fine actors from London’s West End, Robin Herford and Australian television and theatre star Brett Tucker, entice you into the terrifying and ghostly world of The Woman in Black.
The Story
Eel Marsh House stands tall, gaunt and isolated on England's bleak east coast. Here Mrs. Alice Drablow lived - and died - alone. Young Arthur Kipps, a junior solicitor, is ordered to travel up from London to attend her funeral and then sort out all her papers. His task is a lonely one, and at first Kipps is quite unaware of the tragic secrets which lie behind the house's shuttered windows, having only a terrible sense of unease. And then, he glimpses a young woman with a wasted face, dressed all in black, at the back of the church during Mrs. Drablow's funeral and again in the graveyard. Who is she? Why is she there? The locals cannot or will not give him answers. Kipps must wait until he sees her again to discover her identity - and her terrible purpose.
Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, Stephen Mallatratt's adaptation of Susan Hill's best-selling novel combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir.
