On May 30, 2012, around 20 professionals and experts in logistics and maritime studies who were attending the International Forum on Shipping, Ports and Airports (IFSPA) 2012 paid a visit to our Information Services Department (ISD) office in the Science Park in Sha Tin.

 OOCL is well-known and recognized for IT in the maritime industry. The experts were treated to a presentation by Elvis Tam (ITP-ISD-OOCLL/HKG) on shipping IT and from Joseph Choi (EUCD-EUC-ISD-OOCLL/HKG) on OOCL’s Carbon Calculator. IFSPA is an annual event jointly organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies and the C.Y. Tung International Centre for Maritime Studies.

Our visitors were very interested in hearing about our IT department and philosophy and asked plenty of questions. They were also treated to a tour of the Science park.
