OOCL is proud to partner with The Asia Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization headquartered in San Francisco, USA, to support their Books for Asia program to distribute over 400,000 new books to students in need across Asia.
OOCL will help underwrite the transportation costs of the books going to schools, universities, and libraries in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam in 2012 and 2013. This contribution will allow the program to distribute a significant number of English language books, which are often unavailable or prohibitively expensive, to the hands of those in need.
