Hong Kong Colleagues Participate in the Bread Run

On July 28, co-organized by Vital Link and Green Week Committee, 60 OOCL Hong Kong colleagues and their family members participated for the second consecutive year in a charity event called “The Bread Run” hosted by Feeding Hong Kong. On that day, we collected a total of 1322 pieces of breads from 57 bakery stores around Hong Kong.

In order to help minimize Hong Kong’s huge food wastage problems and at the same time help feed those in need, OOCL volunteering bread runners helped to collect surplus fresh bread and sandwiches from bakeries and sandwich shops across Hong Kong and deliver them to designated food banks.
