东方海外与Freightliner 续约十年
东方海外与Freightliner 联合宣布续约十年,维持彼此策略性的伙伴关系,以期在未来十年继续为客户提供最佳的多式联运服务。
签订该合约足以证明东方海外致力实现为客户提供一流服务的承诺并通过使用高效的铁路货运网络使我们的业务运作更加环保。在过去十年, 东方海外使用Freightliner的服务足以减省超过320,000 部卡车使用英国的公路, 大量减低碳排放, 改善我们所服务小区的自然环境。
「在过去十年,Freightliner的服务表现无论在质量及灵活度上,均达到我们的要求。」东方海外的企业策划董事,伍绍裘先生说。「英国的铁路网络及通宵服务让我们能够为客户提供到英国内地快捷及高效的货运服务。我期盼彼此间的长期伙伴合作关系能达致双赢。」
新合约所订定的鑯路货运量将增加百分之五十。每天均有铁路货车在Freightliner位于南安普敦的码头穿梭行走,与其在百明罕市(Birmingham)、利兹 (Leeds) 及特拉福德公圜(Trafford Park) 的策略性码头网络连接。Trafford Park码头是英国最繁忙的码头而且是曼彻斯特及英国西北部重要城市的交通中枢。
Freightliner投資在碼頭的新路軌岸橋及貨物處理設備上、 讓客戶可在每個供應鏈的環節上得到最高效率及最可靠的服務。這亦是東方海外在考慮與Freightliner續約時重要的決定因素之一。
