NOTICE TO TRADE

(FAR EAST TO CHENNAI )

 PORT CONGESTION SURCHARGE    


We wish to inform all shippers that the Singapore- Chennai sector feeders will introduce the following Port Congestion Surcharge due to difficult and unacceptable trading circumstances, including ongoing imbalanced trade, poor terminal productivity, restricted move counts and limited Form 13S which further under-utilizing vessels, increasing port stays and insufficient allocation of cranes

 The Port Congestion Surcharge will be revised effective 21 December 2007 and the quantum are :-

    USD175/20’             USD350/40’

Feeder operators are monitoring the situation at Chennai.  The Port Congestion Surcharge will be revised as and when necessary.
