OOCL customer announcement: China’s 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation

 

OOCL would like to notify our customers that China Customs has announced a new 24 hour Advanced Manifest Regulation, to take effect on 1st January 2009.  The rule requires all ocean carriers to submit a list of customs-defined manifest data to China Customs at least 24 hours prior to cargo loading. The regulation is applicable to all import, export and transshipped cargo via any China Ports (except Hong Kong).

OOCL will make the appropriate changes to the documentation process in order to comply with the customs requirement and secure cargo loading for our customers, and will continue to update customers on any further developments on this issue.
