INTRA-ASIA DISCUSSION AGREEMENT (IADA)

RECOMMENDED REEFER BUSINESS PLAN FOR 2011

Following a series of meetings at senior level among IADA member lines, the IADA Reefer Committee have agreed on a reefer business plan for IADA members’ consideration.  This recommended reefer business plan represents a fair and justified rate recovery program and is applicable on a voluntary non-binding basis by all IADA member lines to their respective customers, and covers trade between all intra-Asia origins and destinations.  Details of this plan are as follows:

1 April             US$100/TEU to/from areas other than Japan

1 April             US$200/TEU  to Japan

These rate increases are to be applied on top of ongoing market rates for all reefer cargo.  All applicable ancillary charges (including a floating FAF based on IADA’s formula) will be applied in full separately from ocean freight rates
