Full vessel scenario best booking practice

Dear Valued Customer,

All our trades are currently facing an extreme strong booking situation with all loops being squeezed on space and fully booked in the coming weeks. We must therefore ask You to place your bookings as early as possible, but at least 10-14 days in advance in order to utilize all the available space efficiently. All cargo cannot be catered, but we will do our outmost to accept bookings in a controlled matter and honour our agreement.

Current situation is unfortunately also leading to late drops or cancellation in bookings due to various reasons. This hurts everyone as bookings that have been declined could have been loaded instead and made it to final destination as originally planned by your organisation. We are therefore implementing a fee of 200 usd/bl for cancellations or significant drop in volume that occur within 72 hours from closings. This is valid as of today (19 feb 2010).

Please assist to spread this information internally within your company as deemed neccessary.
