New inbound requirement for Scrap Shipments to China
Dear customer,
We would like to raise your attention to the newly implemented import requirement for all Scrap Shipments going to China.
According to China Customs, effective Jun 1, 2010, mixed load of below 3 types of Scrap shipment is prohibited for importing to China (including both North and South China)
Waste Paper
Metal Scrap
Plastic Scrap
Thus, the booking acceptance for Scrap shipment will only be Straight load (under one harmonized code) of the above mentioned commodities. Mixed Metal scrap, Mixed Waste Paper and Mixed Plastic Scrap is prohibited.
