Import Deliveries

General Information

Before cargo can be released we require submission of a duly endorsed Original Bill of Lading (or a proof of identity if a Sea Waybill) and payment of outstanding charges, if they don’t have a credit agreement with OOCL.

Customers are reminded it is their duty to arrange import customs clearance. OOCL Switzerland has no Logistics office, so we cannot offer to arrange customs clearance for customer.

Please see our import Demurrage Belgium/Netherlands , Germany & Detention page for details of free time and charges, and our Local Contacts page for relevant email addresses and telephone numbers.

Delivery Bookings

We recommend customers book deliveries as early as possible; in an environment with high demand for traction, this will give us the best chance of meeting the preferred day and time.

Delivery bookings should be e-mailed directly to osagcsv@oocl.com showing container or bill of lading number in the subject line. Any problems with a booking will be notified to you in writing via e-mail within 2 working hours of receipt.

Customers are kindly asked to provide the following information on transport instructions with Port of Discharge Hamburg and Bremerhaven:

  • Customs agent in Switzerland (address, contact person, NCTS Code, customs office, value of goods, description of goods in german)
