Saudi Railway Organization (SRO) –
Ar Riyad Rule for Non-Palletized Cargo
This is to advise that with effect from 26th February, 2009, all importers have to make sure their cargo being palletized before enter to Dammam gateway and Riyadh as Final Destination. Saudi Railway Organization (SRO) has circulated this restriction in to effect in order to restrain the consignments against damage for the interest of importers who are claiming on regular basis to the said dept. being their cargo received in bad conditions.
For non-compliance of this rule the SRO will enforce to impose fine of SR. 1,000/20 (US$ 267/-) and SR. 1,500/-40’ (US$ 400/-).
