Customs notification-Temporary detention cargoes
Until 
Thai Industrial Standards Institute declare permission to release the cargoes

Dear Customers, 

This is to advise with effect from 1st August, 2009. According to Notification of Customs Department for Temporary detention cargoes for 4 industry groups :- 

1. Steel products
2. Plastic toys
3. Motorcycle inner tube
4. Electric rice cooker, electric fan, electric pan.

For authorized referred groups' customs release, the importers must obtain import license and the release permission from “Thai Industrial Standards Institute” (สมอ.) to present to Thai Customs for further cargo releasing process.
