This applies to all shipments except Shipper's Own Containers or Awkward Cargo.

Dear Valued Customers,
On October 01, 2012, we will apply a Security Manifest Documentation fee (SMD) of USD 25 per BL for all shipments to the USA covered by advance manifesting regulations. Furthermore, for all BL and manifest changes that become necessary after the advance manifest has been submitted to US customs, a Security Manifest Amendment (SMA) charge of USD 40 per amendment will be incurred. These fees mirror existing advance manifesting surcharges for Canada.

Customers are advised of the following two tariff amendments:
Change of Destination (Cargo Diversion)
Out tariff was updated on 15 July 2012. The relevant tariff rule caters for cases where the Port of Discharge is amended, and/or the shipment's Final Destination is changed. An administration fees applies, the quantum of which depends on the exact circumstances of the shipment, and whether or not any container re-stows are required. For full details please refer to Rule 11 in our Global Tariff Rules.
