Customers are advised that, after considered review, the following changes will be made to local surcharges in the UK and Ireland with effect 1 March 2011.
Currently 17%, this will change to 19.75% for both the UK and Ireland to reflect changes in underlying fuel costs and tax increases.
This fee applied to all import containers under Merchant Haulage in the UK will increase from £55 to £60 per container.
This surcharge for containers delivered under Merchant Haulage in the UK will increase by £2 to £22 per container per day, for dry GP and Hi-Cube equipment only.
Furthermore, containers left at customers' premises under Carrier Haulage Drop & Pull arrangements will incur new Detention rates as follows:-
- £22 per cntr per day for units dropped off-chassis
- £47 per cntr per day for Units dropped on-chassis
The above changes will apply for all shipments unless otherwise agreed in the prevailing Rate Agreement or Service Contract.
