Customer Advisory - Hurricane Ike impact on Houston area
The Port of Houston Authority (PHA) is in an asset recovery mode. Based on preliminary assessments, the PHA facilities have limited negative physical impact from Hurricane Ike. As is the situation with most of the Houston Region, PHA is without electricity and is operating with limited temporary power from generators.
PHA operations will not be open to receive trucks for drop offs or delivery on Monday, September 15 due to loss of electricity, and it is not clear when operations will resume.
PHA is working with CenterPoint Energy to establish power as soon as possible. PHA will update their status on the Web sites by noon each day at the links below
www.portofhouston.com and www.phastatus.com as recovery efforts are completed.
