Southern California Ports' Clean Trucks Program (CTP)
Please be reminded of the Clean Trucks Program that initiated by the Ports of Los Angeles and Ports of Long Beach will become effective as of October 1, 2008. Details of the program is available from their web sites :

All customers using these two ports for import and export will be impacted and just to highlight several major areas:
- All 1988 and older trucks will be banned.
- A Clean Truck Fee of $35 per TEU ($70 for lager sizes) will be assessed by the terminal operator for all loaded containers entering or leaving the terminal gate via a drayage truck, except that if the truck used is 2007 or later model with EPA compliant and not purchased with port's fund or trucks using alternative fuel (e.g LNG) will be exempted from the fee application.
- Beneficial Cargo Owner is responsible for the Clean Truck Fee.
