OOCL wins Three CIFFA Forwarder's Choice Awards for 2008

OOCL was the proud winner in three categories at the 2008 Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association's Western region's Forwarder's Choice Award Ceremony. OOCL picked up the awards for U.K. Northern Europe Ocean, Far East Ocean and the prestigious Carrier of the Year award.

Every year the three CIFFA regions award a prize for service quality, transit times and reliability to the best shipping and air-freight companies on the most important trade routes. The nominations are based on a survey of the association’s members and verification by an independent commission.

The event held on October 10 and was attended by over 250 guests, honored both ocean and air carriers in 8 different trade lanes.

Since 1999, OOCL has accepted nine awards from CIFFA Central Region, eight from CIFFA Western Region and one from CIFFA Eastern Region, including ten as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Far East, two as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Europe and three times as the "Ocean Carrier of the Year."

CIFFA was founded in Montreal as early as 1948, to establish a professional level in the industry, with uniform quality standards. Today the association is divided into three regions – West, East and Central Canada.
