Taiwan Quarantine Requirements for Wood Package Material Used in Imported Commodity
Effective January 1st, 2009, all import cargo to Taiwan containing wood packaging material (WPM) must meet the WPM requirements of ISPM15 (International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures). ISPM15 requires that any solid wood packing material must be treated properly as outlined in ISPM15. The solid WPM must also have an approved mark or stamp from an approved treatment facility. Any non-compliant WPM may result in the imported commodity to be refused entry into Taiwan, and required to be returned to the origin country at the cargo interest's expense.
