Christmas holiday is celebrated in the USA and Canada Thursday, December 25. Customers should expect up to 72 hour transit delays from Tuesday, December 23 through Monday, December 29 as USA and Canada railroads operate fewer trains over the holiday period.
New Year’s holiday is celebrated in the USA and Canada Thursday, January 1. Customers should expect up to 72 hour transit delays from Tuesday, December 30 through Monday, January 5 as USA and Canada railroads operate fewer trains over the holiday period.
Most North American rail road companies will close Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Throughout the two four-day weekend periods, rail carriers will only have limited staff available. For specific rail terminal operating hours, customers should contact local rail terminal.
