Subj:  2nd Extending enforcement of the Marine announcement No. 273/2553 on the regulations for the loading/discharging of DG cargo

According to the Marine announcement No. 335/2553 dated 09/12/10 to extend the enforcement of Marine announcement No. 273/2553 on the regulations for the loading/discharging of DG cargo to another 60 days as from date of enforcement.

Due to the insurance requirement as per No. 4 (5) as per announcement No. 273/2553 is new and has not been done before while the availability of insurance policy and other related documents have not been completed.  It needs some times to make clear for all parties to understand the regulation and its practice.  It might create impact to the issuance of permission to load/discharge DG cargo.  Hence, in order to Marine announcement No. 273/2553 dated 29/9/10 to be enforced suitability and correctly as per the purpose for the protection of public's interest, Director General of Marine Dept. would announce as follow:

1.  To extend the enforcement of Marine announcement No. 273/2553 dated 29/9/10 on regulation to load/disch of DG cargo to another 60 days as from 11/2/11.

2.  During the suspended period, the Marine announcement No. 279/2542 dated 30/8/2542 will be enforced until the Marine announce No. 273/2553 will be enforced.

Announced on 7/1/11

Signed by Mr. Tawanrat Onsira, Director General of Marine Dept.
