Customer Advisory: Japan Earthquake Customer Advisory #1
As you are aware, Japan was struck by a major earthquake and subsequent Tsunami on Friday, March 11th. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to everyone that is impacted by this natural disaster.
At this point, we have not received any information regarding any cargo damage. However, we would like to advise as follows:
- Bookings to Sendai have been suspended with immediate effect until further notice
- SSX vessel, the OOCL Tokyo 32, is currently berthed at Long Beach. Vessel operations were suspended from 0800 to 0830 hrs during Tsunami warning and resumed at 0900 hrs
- PAX Stuttgart Express 084 and the PNX Shanghai Express 56 are berthed at Seattle and not impacted by Tsunami warning
- The SCX NYK Themis 13 will omit Sendai. All Sendai imports on board will be discharged at Tokyo
OOCL will continue to provide updates as they become available.
