Customer Advisory: Port of New York/Newark Centralized Examination Station Update

Please note effective January 9th, 2012 the following changes in the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Centralized Examination Station (CES) container examination handling at the Port of New York/Newark:

New York Container Terminal:
  • All Comprehensive CES, A-TCET/NII, or Agriculture CES examinations for import containers at New York Container Terminal will be performed at the New York Container Terminal GCT CES.
  • Address and contact information for the GCT CES:
  • Agriculture seal checks will continue to be performed on the terminal premises at New York Container Terminal.

Port Newark Container Terminal and Global Terminal:

  • All Comprehensive CES and A-TCET/II examinations for import containers at Port Newark Container Terminal and Global Terminal will be performed at the H&M International Transportation, Inc. CES.
  • Address and contact information for the H&M International Transportation, Inc. CES:
  • All Agriculture CES Examinations for import containers at at Port Newark Container Terminal and Global Terminal will be performed at the East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, Corp. CES.
  • Address and contact information for the East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, Corp. CES:
  • Agriculture seal checks will continue to be performed on the terminal premises at Port Newark Container Terminal and Global Terminal.
