Protests/Strike at Nhava Sheva Port, India Update #1

The protests by local residents at the Nhava Sheva port in India have continued into the second day.  The protests began on Tuesday, March 27th and are expected to continue at least for 3 days through Thursday, March 29th.  If the strike is not resolved by Thursday, March 29th, the protests may continue.

Due to protests blocking terminal access, all container movement has ceased into and out of the Nhava Sheva port.  Vessel schedule operations are also being impacted during the ongoing protests.

We will provide further updates concerning the situation at the Nhava Sheva port.
