Customer Advisory: New OOCL Chassis Policy – Houston, TX/McAllen, TX/Pharr, TX
Effective July 1, 2013, OOCL will no longer provide chassis for import and export shipments to/from facilities in Houston, TX, McAllen, TX and Pharr, TX.
All motor carriers, either working as suppliers for OOCL or OOCL customers, must provide chassis for these shipments. Chassis usage fees for Merchant (CY) moves should be billed by the motor carrier directly to their customer.
If motor carriers plan on renting or leasing chassis at these locations, OOCL’s recommended chassis provider for these locations is TRAC INTERMODAL. Motor carriers are encouraged to execute interchange agreements with TRAC Connect as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition.
