Status update for OOCL's Canadian Rail (CN) provider

The increased inbound volume from the Port of Montreal and Halifax post strike effect has resulted in further congestion impacting production throughout the Brampton Intermodal Terminal in Toronto.

In order to maintain operational fluidity, CN will be temporarily adjusting their Earliest Receiving Date (ERD) window for export loads in-gating Brampton Intermodal Terminal. Effective Saturday, September 26, 2020, ERD will be changed to 4 calendar days, including the day of cut off for all export loads destined to the Port of Montreal and Port of Halifax. CN plans to further review and re-instate the regular ERD once the ground count returns to a normal level.

In addition, CN is encouraging customers and trucking community to leverage weekends and off peak hours to pick up import loads.

Should you require further assistance, OOCL's North America Customer Service is available at 1-888-388-6625.
