Port of Montreal Update
Further to our post on August 24, 2020, the Montreal Gateway Terminals (MGT) along with Termont terminals have resumed operations as of last week. However, they are experiencing congestion but are putting all efforts to clear the backlog as soon as possible and return to fluidity. For more information, please contact the respective terminals directly:
- Status Update: Containers will be loaded to the rail on a first come first serve basis. Termont will not be able to accommodate special requests to prioritize cargo and priority will be given to longer dwelling containers.
- Status Update: During this recovery period, all expedited service programs will be suspended as will individual requests to prioritize loading. In the event of urgent delivery of medical supplies/products, MGT will review these requests on a case-by-case basis.
