Customer Advisory: ILWU (Canada West Coast) – Update 4
Customer Advisory: ILWU (Canada West Coast) – Update 4
July 13, 2023

Dear Valued Customer,

Pursuant to our earlier notifications, we are pleased to advise that the British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Canada have reached a tentative agreement.

Based on this development, work at the respective ocean terminals is due to resume 16:30 hours Pacific Time on July 13, 2023.

While operations are expected to resume, it is anticipated that there will be significant congestion and delays including possible limitations on standard gate and receiving capabilities.

We strongly encourage you and your vendor to contact the respective ocean and rail facilities for any restrictions prior to dispatching any container transport.

For the most up to date operating and receiving schedules, please refer to the respective providers for specific details:

Vessel arrival and departure information will be updated on an individual basis when respective schedules are finalized.
