OOCL, Evergreen, Yang Ming to jointly offer Taiwan service – THX Service

OOCL , Evergreen Marine, and Yang Ming are to jointly operate a new twice-weekly intra-Asia container service from early Apr2006.

The new service, known as the Taiwan/Hong Kong/Ho Chi Minh Express Service (THX), offers a total voyage time of 21 days.

Its port rotation is: HoChiMinh, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Kaohsiung, Taichung, and back to HoChiMinh.

Three 900-TEU containerships was deployed on the THX service, which scheduled to commence from April 11.

New Service Structure effective March 1 from Sin

From March onward, OOCL in cooperation with MISC/MOSK/PIL/NYK will run a 2-Loop weekly service calling major NZL ports.

OOCL will have an allocation of 325 teu/week at 14 ton/teu and reefer plug of over 45+. Lp-1 allocation is 95 teu/wk and Lp-2 is 230 teu/wk.

The port rotation is :

·Lp-1 : SIN/PKL/BNE/Auckland/Napier/Lyttelton/Wellington (Nelson) on alternate week/BNE

·Lp-2 : SIN/Tauranga/Lyttelton

OOCL contributed 1-ship and there’s 9 vessels of 1400-1600 teu were deployed in this service. The service name is NZX which stands for New Zealand Express. The 1st Lp-1 sailing was from sin on Mar 4 and the 1st Lp-2 sailing was NYK's on Mar 6.

From Vietnam, we can serve via Singapore, transit time is around 19-21 days.
