In response to increasing customer demand, OOCL will partially reinstate some of our previously withdrawn capacity with the launch of a new service loop on the Asia to North Europe trade.
The new service, Loop D, will be jointly operated by the Grand Alliance carriers Hapag-Lloyd (HPL), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) and the New World Alliance carriers (APL, HMM and MOL).
Loop D will begin service on March 22, 2010. Ten vessels of 6,000 TEU will be deployed on the service.
Port rotation of the new service is:
Qingdao/ Yangshan/ Shekou/ Yantian/ Singapore/ Suez/ Le Havre/ Southampton/ Rotterdam/ Hamburg/ Suez/ Singapore/ Chiwan/ Shekou/ Qingdao in a 70-day round trip.
