OOCL today announced the establishment of OOCL (Switzerland) AG, based in Basel effective 1 January 2006. “OOCL has many important customers in Switzerland and this development is consistent with our global policy of having our own offices in our key markets.

MISC Berhad (MISC), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL) have announced their co-operation to operate a two-loop weekly service from Port Klang and Singapore to New Zealand, with the first sailing scheduled in February/March 2006.

OOCL is proud to announce that is has won the Shipping Line of the Year Award for its Australia-to-North Asia Trade at the 2005 Lloyds List DCN Australian Shipping and Transport Awards.OOCL colleagues attended the prestigious Awards Presentation at a black-tie dinner in Sydney on the evening of 17 November. This is the 10th year that the award has been presented.
