Covid-19 status in Bangladesh
- Infected cases 691,957 include 7201 today, recovery 581,113 and death 9,822. So far highest number of deaths 87 recorded today due to C-19 infection.
Government action plan
- The government has extended the ongoing virus lockdown by two days to Apr 13, merging it with a new lockdown that starts a day later.
- Bangladesh has issued a set of new lockdown rules shutting all offices and public transports for a week from Apr 14. However, allowed factories to remain open during the weeklong lockdown, according to a notice issued by the Cabinet Division today. The new lockdown that comes with stricter rules will be effective from the morning of Apr 14 to the midnight of Apr 21.
- Road Transport and Bridges Minister today urged the authorities concerned to remain alert so that goods-laden transport do not carry passengers during "lockdown".
- The authorities are suspending all international flight operations for a week from Apr 14 when Bangladesh enters a 'strict lockdown' to limit the rampant spread of COVID-19.

- 20% staff worked at both CIN & DHA from 9AM-5PM to release BL/ DO and to do the emergency operational tasks, statistics of DO & BL release reflect as under
- Govt. declared shutdown of all offices, transport, shop, shopping mall etc. amid countrywide strict lockdown for a week effective from April 14 due to rapid spread of C-19 infection, and existing countrywide lockdown for 9 days will be ended April 13. Hence, please review and endorsed to extend current WFH strategy till end of April, 2021.
