In accordance with the new Circular 106 of Cai Shui [2013] jointly issued by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the State Administration of Taxation (SAT) of P.R. China on December 12th, 2013, OOCL will be issuing VAT general invoices with effect from January 1st, 2014 for the freight and surcharges payable in mainland China. In the meantime, as the abolish of Circular 37 of Cai Shui [2013], OOCL will not charge additional 6% Value Added Tax and associated surtaxes (include, but not limited to , City Construction Tax, Education Surtax, Local Education Surtax, etc.) on top of the freight and surcharges payable in mainland China.
