Inbound Demurrage:
1. Cargo Free Time:
a. Inbound Demurrage free time will commence at 1 working day after cargo availability and end at full gate out. Sundays and Holidays excluded. Cargo demurrage applying after the expiration of cargo free time will be at the charges contained in this rule. In the instance of a single bill of lading quantity arriving on separate vessels, cargo free time shall commence at midnight on the day the removal permit is granted by Customs to the vessel which delivers the final lot of the single bill of lading quantity.
b. One (1) additional day of free time shall be allowed on cargo which requires botanical inspection at port of discharge.
c. When cargo is discharged at a Japan port other than the bill of lading destination port, cargo free time will commence at midnight of the day when complete bill of lading quantity arrives at the destination port named in the bill of lading. When cargo is received at the port of discharge under the equalization provisions of Rule cargo free time will commence at midnight of the day when the removal permit is granted by the customs at the port of actual discharge. Sundays and holidays of every month shall be excluded from cargo free time.
d. When reefer cargo is discharged at Tokyo and carried to Yokohama as final destination via barge or truck, free time will commence at midnight of the day when the removal permit is granted by Customs at Tokyo, or at the midnight of the day after cargo arrival at Yokohama, Sundays, holidays of every month shall be excluded, whichever the longer free time is calculated.
